Which Woman Would You Hire? – A Friday Funny
By Michelle Malay Carter on September 12, 2008
I know when assessing candidates, we are supposed to be able to be “objective” and not let outward appearance influence hiring decisions.? Is that humanly possible?? Should the way one presents him/herself have a bearing on their suitability?
Which woman would you prefer to be your management consultant?? Why?
Have some fun Yearbooking Yourself by clicking here.?
Thanks to filmmaker and humanitarian Heidi Mehltretter Sneath over at Sneathspot for the fun idea.

You look GREAT in every year, I’d hire you in a second . . . though maybe not as my hair consultant.
Hi Heidi,
I’ve never claimed to be a fashionista, but I do know my work levels.

Michelle,
At the risk of sounding forward I realized, after seeing the center photo in the top row, that we went to the junior prom together.
I apologize for the corsage not matching your dress. Hopefully, you haven’t held a grudge after all these years.
Hi Steve,
No worries. All is forgiven. Despite my awkward start, I’m a world-renowned writer and management consultant now. :)

I’d swear numbers 3 and 4 are in my S’70 Yearbook! Those hairstyles look so familiar… Number 2 looks like my 7th grade teacher, Mrs. Wong.
Michelle,
Excellent and funny blog.
The problem is that I could have hired them all for different jobs. I can see a school teacher, a trainer, a country singer, a Jennifer Aniston lookalike, a marketeer, etc.
However, I have no doubt that I would have hired the rock-chick!

Hi Robyn and Jack,
Glad you enjoyed the walk down memory lane post.
The challenge is on. Have you Yearbooked yourself? There is a men’s version for you Jack.
Maybe we’re on to a new catch phrase. Instead of Been There, Done That, Have the T-shirt. It could be, Been There, Done That, Had the Hairstyle.
Regards,
Michelle
